Frequently Asked Questions

What is Yoga?
Yoga classes generally refer to the practice of 'Asanas' or postures of yoga and varied meditation or breathing techniques. There are lots of different styles of yoga which appeal to different people.
However in its true form, yoga is a lifestyle, a seek for awakening and the true self. There is a lot of history and philosophy behind yoga practice and a set of principles to live by.
Whether you want to improve your fitness, build strength, take time to focus or have an interest in deepening your understanding of the principles, you will find the classes I run will assist this.

What do I need?
There is very little that you need. A yoga or similar mat for your session is all that's required. You may like to bring a small blanket or socks for extra comfort for the relaxation at the end.
I do have a couple of spare mats available for those who have never been before, so please do ask before attending if you would like to borrow one for your first session.
Please arrive a few minutes early to be settled for the start.

Is it for me?
The thing about yoga is...it doesn't judge. Everybody is different and everyone has their own worries, fears, body challenges. Yoga is individual to you, you will find your own path.
You do not need to be flexible or fit, there is no competition here.
My key mission for my yoga classes is 'to strengthen and restore'. Whether you want to build your body's inner strength or restore your body after a challenging period of time such as illness or menopause, whether you are a beginner or have some experience of yoga, these classes are suitable for you.
